Tucked away in the Santa Ynez Mountains, Maya and Sam made their Italian style wedding come true at The Sunstone Villa. This stunning couple celebrated their Jewish Hertiage so beautifully at this Tuscany style wedding location. This majestic destination styled venue wraps the warm sun around you and offers breathtaking vineyards as a beautiful backdrop for wedding.

The Sunstone Villa, A Italian Style Wedding Venue

The Sunstone Villa is a stunning Italian inspired wedding venue. This beautiful property has structures built from limestones salvaged from European chateaus, and structural elements dating back from the 19th century. It is also surrounded by picturesque mountains, vineyards, and natural elements. It’s no wonder why this location is perfect for a Tuscany vineyard wedding.

Bride Getting Ready Session

One of my favorite things about the Sunstone Villa is that they have a getting ready suite for the wedding parties. Maya’s bridal suite looked over the vineyard and it had these stunning wood frame doors that gave the most beautiful sunlight. Therefore we had to capture some indoor bridal portraits in her silk dress and robe, and her gorgeous bridal gown. She had the ultimate Italian style wedding dress. These portraits definitely gave editorial wedding photos vibes and I was here for it!

First Look Photos

The inside of the villa was romantic and you definitely felt like you were transported to another world. Maya and Sam knew they wanted their first look to be at the end of the spiral staircase. When Maya reached the last step, she tapped Sam’s shoulder and he turned and was in awe of how stunning his wife-to-be was. Sam had the biggest grin and they shared such a tender moment before their ceremony. The groom’s mother was able to see the moment and it was beautiful! 

Italian Style Wedding Decor

When you think about Tuscany, you think about three things: green landscape, food and wine. Maya and Sam wanted to emphasize those elements for their Tuscany inspired wedding. Their details incorporated fresh lemons, limes, and rosemary sticks, and white roses, baby breaths, and flowers. These decorations were present throughout their traditional ceremony and reception. The ambience was intimate, romantic, and it was pure Italian Tuscany vibes.

Italian Documentary Wedding Portraits

We wanted to take advantage of the grounds at The Sunstone Villa. We took high-end wedding couple editorial photos in the courtyard, the vineyard, and quite frankly all around the property. This location had endless amounts of greenery, organic structure and backdrops. When you see these photos, you think these were shot in Italy! It was pure magic!

After the portraits, we were able to get back to their family and friends and they ate and danced the night away under the California stars in the dreamiest Tuscan villa wedding location. Maya and Sam, thank you for letting me capture your stunning Italian inspired wedding day!
