Nestled in the Appalachian mountains, this wedding venue called 2400 On the River, hosted Emily and Logan. From the moment I first talked to this couple, their energy was unmatched! They are so much fun! When I captured Emily and Logan’s engagement shoot, I couldn’t wait for their wedding day! When we talked over the phone Emily told me her vision about her big day, (and maybe we talked about chickens too!) but one thing remained certain. She wanted her special day to be like a whimsical fairytale wedding.

When she mentioned her vision for her fairytale wedding I had a good idea on what she meant. But when the day came, she did NOT disappoint! Seeing her dream turn into a reality was magical! It was very much her and Logan and her “magic” touch on all the small details didn’t go unseen! This wedding was about Emily and Logan and nobody else. They captured their love so well within their ceremony and in their reception with all the details.

Emily and Logan’s wedding venue, 2400 on the River, is a particular special place. It is huddled in a small but spacious area right on the foothills of the Appalachian Mountains. It overlooks the Coosawattee River, creating a scene right out of a Disney princess movie.

The getting ready process was beautiful. You really saw Emily come into her own and by the time she put on her cascading flowy white dress, she looked like a picture perfect bride. Her long hair and veil was a perfect headpiece that tied the entire look together. Her makeup was also totally Emily, with a dark and smoky shadow that really made her eyes pop! This bridal hairstyle and whimsical wedding dress was a cherry on top of this perfect day!

I knew from the moment I saw Emily in full glam, that I couldn’t wait to see her fiance’s Logan’s reaction to her coming down the aisle. Seeing the bride appear with her dad in this outdoor ceremony took my and I’m sure the guests’ breath away. Logan’s reaction seeing her walk down the aisle literally brought tears to my eyes. It was so cute! These priceless moments are what I live for as a photographer. To share these moments with everyone in that room is a time in our lives that will stay with us!

Logan is so in love with Emily I saw it in his eyes the whole time. She was the only person in the room with him and I was honored to capture that! Next came the party! What more can you ask for from a fairytale inspired wedding than a cozy reception? It was surrounded with the most beautiful floral greenery arrangements covered by the rustic wooden walls. The cake?! It matched the greenery theme and was so unique with the darker shades of icing and decor.

The party moved outside for dancing under a dreamy chandelier and barnyard lights. The dance floor was filled with laughter, movement, and love. You could just feel the love in the room. I’m so honored to have been part of their day, they are truly beautiful and the kindest souls I have met. I cannot wait to shoot another wedding at the 2400 on the River for its whimsical fairytale essence. Who needs Neverland when you have the 2400 on the River wedding venue in Atlanta.
